Goodwood Track Day Support with Hometyre

"Want to support a Track Day for us?" Ermm, yes! We would never turn down the opportunity to support local businesses and private clients on track days. These events are great for us as they help showcase the services we offer while also being able to assist petrol heads on the track. Recently we were invited to attend a track day at the prestigious Goodwood Race Circuit for a 1-day event to supply and fit Pirelli Tyres for a variety of high-end vehicles.

The first vehicle in attendance on the day was a beautiful Ferrari F12 TDF in a deep slate grey with gloss black pin stripes highlighting the aerodynamics of the body work. The TDF is a 770bhp limited run version of the F12 with 799 being produced worldwide to a very select few. When we say select few, we really do mean this, potential buyers must already have owned 5 different Ferrari models and be invited by Ferrari to put forward an order application, before they are even considered for a production slot! Due to the exclusiveness the asking price for the TDF has only been on the rise with one recently selling in a US auction for over $1 million which is nearly 3 times over the original asking price from factory!

We knew it wasn't going to be easy to source the tyres needed for the day with the fronts coming in at 275/35/20 and the rears 315/35/20 but here at Hometyre we love a challenge and were able to source Pirelli Pzero's on Ferrari Fitments in both sizes ready to fit when needed.

Another vehicle taking to the track on the day was this Gun metal 911 992 Turbo S which had the impressive spec of red leather interior complimented by the red cabriolet top contrasting against yellow brake callipers. The main hitting points of this Porsche are ridiculous with figures like 2.8 secs 0-60 and a standing quarter mile time of 10.1 seconds!! To put that into perspective the Ferrari F12 TDF that was also present on the day hits the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds. Once again, we were tasked with supplying Pirelli Pzero for the front 255/35/20 and the rear tyre 315/30/21 which we did with both being NA fitment to match the requirements of the 922 model variant.
