Caravan and Motorhome Tyre Replacement in Chipping Norton | Hometyre Mobile Caravan Tyre Replacements

Moving from the cold, low cloud weather of the winter, the UK is slowly heating up with many caravaners and motorhomists now contacting us to arrange bookings readying their caravans for the spring and summer season. We recently had a call from the Caravan and Camping site in Chipping Norton where a customer needed all six tyres swapping over as two had a cut and generally, all were looking a little old.

Having called the office, the customer chose some specialist camper rated tyres (you can click here to find some for yourself!) and chose a day and time to suit his diary.

Before installing the new tyres, cleared the work area and ensured the motormover was folded away. Using the on-board jacks, the heavy motorhome was lifted into the air and placed onto jack stands. From here the wheels were removed, and the balanced wheels/tyres installed onto the vehicle where the nuts were hand tightened. Finally, the Fiat was lowered to the floor where we could torque the nuts to the correct setting. Before sending the motorhome out on its journey, we double checked all the nuts and created an inspection report showing the current tread depths and date codes.
