Bulging rubber

This week Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre service that comes to you, was called to RAF Honington.

The car was an AUDI A4, we were called to fit an ACCELERA tyre 255/35/19 after the customer had hit a pothole. This had left impact on the tyre, leaving a large bulge. This is due to a build up of pressure and can be dangerous because it can explode and cause a blow out at anytime.

The customer had already removed the tyre and placed his space saver onto the vehicle. Hometyre Norfolk replaced the tyre and pumped the space saver back up to 60PSI, which is the level a space saver should be pumped up to, ready for the next time it may need to be used.
