Mercedes E Class. Now that's quick

Well there I was, parked at the side of the road in Basingstoke when someone does a quick U turn and pulls along side. The passenger gets out and asks if I can help him out. His car was at home in Basingstoke with a puncture and he needs the car for a trip to Manchester first thing in the morning. I suggest that we nip round to his home round and see if it was repairable. The car was a Mercedes E Class with 265 wide tyres. Checking the tyres immediately highlighted the problem. BOTH rear tyres were heavily worn on the inside shoulders so that the cords were exposed. The flat tyre had worn right through causing the deflation. Well, its afternoon, his car is immobile and he needs to be away early in the morning. Can we get the tyres?. With access to a distributor in Winchester we located a pair of suitable tyres. No time to have them delivered, I would have to pick them up. Also, the gentleman concerned had an appointment to go to in Basingstoke there and then. So, we agreed he would leave the car keys with me, I would go and pick up the tyres, return and complete the swap whilst he was off to his appointment. So there we were. I obtained the tyres, returned and fitted them. On completion I gave our customer a call to let him know all was complete and took payment over the phone. The car key was then popped back through his letter box.

So there we have it. How many other companies can offer that sort of response or flexibility?
