Tyre Pressure Light On – Light Reset on Nissan Juke 2019/2020
Nissan Juke's from 2019 and 2020 have the potential to be both direct and indirect TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system).
Indirect TPMS uses the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) to measure rotational speeds of the wheels/tyres to determine whether there has been an issue with tyre pressure. This system will not detect exactly which tyre has the issue but will alert the driver of a general problem.
Direct TPMS systems use a sensor in each wheel and report the pressure of each individual tyre to the cars internal computer, alerting the driver of exactly which tyre has the pressure issue.
Reset My Tyre Pressure Light on Nissan Juke (indirect)
If your TPMS light is illuminated on your dash and it's solid (not flashing), the first thing to do is get your vehicle to a place where you can inflate them. You can find the recommended tyre pressure for your vehicle either on the inside of the fuel cap or the driver's door.
Once you've set your tyres to the correct pressure, simply follow the below procedure:
- Turn the ignition to the ON position (engine OFF)
- Press the "SET" button (located on the right side of the steering wheel)
- Select "MENU" on the screen in the centre of the dashboard
- Select "RESET TYRES" and confirm "YES"
This will reset your vehicle's "brain" to tell it the current pressures are the "normal" for your vehicle.
Problem with Tyre Sensor on Nissan Juke 2019/2020
If your vehicle runs on a direct system, it may be alerting you of a specific issue with one of your sensors. If this is the case, we can come out to your location and do a full TPMS system check. If you have a faulty sensor or one which is low on battery (this usually happens when they reach an age of around 7 years), our clever machines will tell us exactly how much battery life is left and if there is an issue, what it might be!
Worse case scenario, if it needs a new sensor, we carry them on board our mobile tyre fitting vans! We can program a brand-new sensor to your vehicle there and then!
