Valve Replacement in Keswick

We had a phone call from a customer in Keswick requesting a booking for a puncture repair. Upon arrival we diagnosed the issue was not a puncture, in fact, it was an issue with the valve.

Over time a standard rubber valve will begin to perish, this is due to factors such as sunlight, moisture, dirt etc. Rubber is a natural product and it will age/deteriorate over time.

Alongside this deterioration, over time your alloys will cause a build up of corrosion which will ultimately lead to a 'bubble' similar to rust which will cause air to escape from the tyre because it is not properly sealed.

This corrosion can be cleaned off and the valve can be replaced. The above photo shows a standard rubber valve leaking air, this can be seen by the bubbles shown in the leak detection fluid.
