New Tyres for a MG ZR and a Ford Mondeo in Swavesey, Cambridge | Hometyre Mobile New Tyre Replacements at Work
Yesterday we had a customer book online for two rears tyres on his MG ZR in Ely as they had started to wear down. Heading out to the customer’s work address, it became apparent that there was an issue with the locking wheel nut adaptor as the adaptor had been left in a relative’s garage for safe keeping!
Fortunately, the garage was only a five minute drive from
the vehicle but serves as an important reminder that the adaptor needs to be
with the vehicle at all times! If you’re out and about and are stuck at the
side of the road, you won’t have a way to remove the nuts!
Anyhow, we then headed to Bucking Way Business Park in Swavesey, grabbed the key and headed back to the vehicle. Whilst on site at the Business Park, we noticed a worker with a flat tyre. Before heading back to the MG, we booked the customer’s Ford Mondeo in for later in the afternoon.
Fortunately for the Ford customer, the nail was in the
central part of the tread and was repairable. But unfortunately, the tyre and
its partner on the other side was just above the legal limit of 1.6mm and repairing
the tyre would be futile as it would need to be changed anyway!
After the customer chose their new tyres, we returned the
next day with two new Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres!
