A Darras Hall customer booked a call by our mobile tyre fitting workshop to his home in Darras Hal to repair a slow puncture that kept making his tyre go flat. Pothole damage still an issue in South Shields

We're still getting lost of calls in the Newcastle and Gateshead areas where tyres have been damaged by potholes, its usually sidewall damage so the tyre is wrecked. The alloy wheel can aslo sustain damage to either the front face or may crack on the inside. If you hit a pothole hard its worth having the tyre and wheel checked as you'll find it hard to see any damage on the inside. Without having the specialist tools and knowledge, you would be unaware of any internal damage which could be detrimental to your car and could cause a crash. Lovely drive to Hexham

Had a very pleasant drive out from Newcastle yesterday up the A1 to Hexham. Customer Lee of G and S Organics had a puncture on his delivery van. I called at the village cafe, run by Lee, and was greeted with a freshly brewed cup of tea and an organic bacon buttie, which was delicious! Wish all customers would do this, well perhaps not i'm trying to lose weight. Nice easy puncture to fix and I was on my way.

Good, Good news again!

Had a call from someone else on twitter today who had a screw in a tyre on his vw passatt. Popped over from the West Denton job to his office Newcastle and the good news, again, I was able to repair the puncture. We'll always do our level best for our customers in the Newcastle area. If it can be repaired we'll do it

Why buy a new van tyre when you can get your's fixed?

Got a call from Air Parks up next to Newcastle Airport. Got a flat tyre on their VW Craster Bus. Nipped up the A1 to have a look and the good news is they didn't need a new van tyre as i was able to repair the puncture. Happy customer

I thought this was going to be a simple fitting of 2 new BMW car tyres

First job of the day for our mobile tyre fitting workshop was at Heddon on the Wall, between Hexham and Newcastle. The customer, who'd had 2 new BMW tyres earlier in the year, had booked 2 new Kunho tyres, a good budget tyre at a great price. When i got there he mentioned that one of the tyres had a slow puncture. It turned out that the alloy wheels had some internal corrosion. Easily fixed. So i ended up fitting the 2 kumho tyres, fixing 2 leaking alloy and repairing a puncture on his spare.

Customer car slides all over the road in Newcastle

I got asked to go out and do a FREE safety check for a customer as he was concerned about his car which kept sliding across roundabouts in Newcastle, Darras Hall, Gosforth and Jesmond After checking his cheap budget tyres is was evediantly clear that his cheap budget tyres where shot and way passed the sell by date. They where cracked right the way through and where nearly on the legal 1.6mm tread limit, which is not good in bad weather conditions. I replaced his cheap budget tyres for some premium bridgestones whilst he was at work in Newcastle city centre, so he was making money while getting his tyres replaced. My customer rang me at the end of the day after he had got home to Darras Hall, Ponteland, Northumberland to thank me for such a fantastic service and what a difference the tyres made to the car's handling ability.

Dreaded locking wheel nuts that will not come off or you have lost your locking wheel nut key

I rescued a poor lad who'd broken the locking wheel nut trying to get a flat tyre off his car. The nuts had been massively over torqued by whoever fitted the tyre.
