• A replacement rubber valve (or TPMS system check).

If you have TPMS valves then you should also let us service the valve at a small additional cost. This includes new stems, plus a new seal and nut.

4x4 Tyres

Whether you need 2WD, 4WD, AWD, AT, UHP, on road or off road tyres, at Hometyre we have a vast range for you to choose from.

Our service vehicles can fit tyres up to a 24" rim.

This will easily cover Range Rover, Landrover, Mitsubishi L200, Jeep, Suzuki, Skoda Yeti, Toyota Landcruiser, Audi 'Q' Series, Volvo XC range, Mercedes M class, BMW 'X' Series, Porsche Cayannes, Macans, etc.

With 4x4 vehicles you should change the tyres in pairs if there is more than 4mm difference in tread on the same axle, as your car will think one wheel is slipping and put full power to the other tyre continually. 

Locking wheel nut removal service 

If you have lost or damaged your locking wheel nut 'Key' (adapter/socket), we at Hometyre Sussex have specialist tools on board to facilitate removal without damaging your wheels.

We can even remove the difficult Peugeot and Citroen locknuts, the revolving collar nuts on Fords & Volvo's, as well as the domed Jaguar and Landrover locknuts.

Laser Wheel alignment (Tracking)

According to an AA report, Approx. 85% of vehicles on the road have misaligned wheels, causing bad tyre wear, affecting handling and increasing fuel consumption.

Does your vehicle pull to one side? Is the steering wheel at an angle when driving in a straight line, or do you have uneven tyre wear?

Any one of these items could point to your vehicles tracking being out of line. This can easily happen through hitting a kerb, pothole, or it can be general wear and tear on the suspension.

The Hometyre Sussex service vehicle carries the latest Supertracker laser wheel alignment equipment, we can check and adjust your vehicles alignment to bring it back to the manufacturers recommended settings. Not many mobile tyre companies offer this service.

It is recommend to have your alignment checked every time you have new tyres fitted or around every 8 to 10'000 miles.

Tyre pressure monitoring sensor valves

Since 2014 it became law that all newly registered vehicles be fitted with some form of tyre pressure measuring device.

Most are TPMS Sensor valves fitted inside the wheel/tyre, these have a battery life of between 5 and 7 years and in most cases the battery cannot be replaced.

Any vehicle produced since 2014 must have working TPMS valves to pass an MOT.

Should yours fail, call us at Hometyre Sussex, we specialise in the replacement or repair of these sensor valves. Our vans carry the latest diagnostic equipment and can check the sensor condition. If required we can replace these sensor valves at prices that beat most main dealers.

We can even clone a new set programming them to work with your cars ECU, (computer). If having new tyres fitted, then you should always have your sensors serviced, to prolong their life. Click here for more info.

Winter tyres, All season tyres and tyre swap overs.

The air temperature is now getting towards 7 Degrees Centigrade, this means that if you have summer tyres on at the moment, you should be going back to winter tyres. Especially if you are planning a skiing trip to Europe.

Swapping from summer to winter tyres is a job we can do for you.

Another option is to fit a set of 'all season' tyres these can be left on a car all year round, we have a selection of these tyres to fit all budgets.

Caravan, Motorhome & Camper van tyres & Tyron safety bands

With staycations still popular at the moment, many caravans Motorhomes and camper vans are coming back on the road after many years in storage.

Before you travel please check your tyres for cracks or perishing.  Should you need tyres, then we at Hometyre can supply and fit them for you at your location.

Caravan and motorhome tyres should be replaced every 5 to 7 years according to the caravan club.

We have extra load, 8 Ply, Light Commercial and Camper tyres available.
