Sergio has over 15 years of experience in the industry and specialises, alongside tyre replacement, in the service and diagnostics of Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). Sergio is the number one point of contact for car enthusiasts, trades people and the motor industry alike for all things TPMS.

Tesco Bristol Tyre Safety Day

In partnership with Tesco Supermarkets, we recently carried out a full day of tyre safety and pressure checks at the local Tesco Extra store in Bristol. This is a great opportunity to meet motorists and give absolutely free advice on the state of their tyres and pressures.
There were some interesting vehicles seen and a surprising amount of issues found - some quite serious!

The Stats

From the 54 vehicles checked, 42 had incorrect tyre pressures and EVERY vehicle fitted with a spare was found to have less than 50% of the pressure required to adequate for use!
14 vehicles had tyres with wear or defects which required immediate attention including 6 punctures, 3 of which we were able to repair there and then!

3 vehicles had incorrect tyre sizes fitted on at least 1 wheel and 6 vehicles had tyres fitted which were older than the vehicle itself. The worst of these were a pair of tyres on a 2012 car dated 2006!!! The owner of this one stated that he'd had the tyres fitted just a few months previously and had no idea they were 13 years old!
BEWARE the part worn tyre sellers in the area!!

Local motorists were incredibly receptive to our mobile tyre service offering and numerous bookings were made for routine tyre replacement and wheel alignment correction over the following couple of weeks!
