12" Trailer Tyres

On our website, the smallest rim size we list is 12". However, this doesn't mean that if you've got a smaller rim size on your trailer that we're unable to help!

Often tyres are slightly harder to get hold of and also require fitting by hand due to the smallest size our machines go down to is 12".

What is Ply on Tyres?

You may notice on the sidewall of your commercial grade tyre that there is a "Ply" rating. This might say 6 ply, 8 ply etc, but what does it mean?

Plies are the layers within the tyre which make up most of the inner workings of it. The layers are made up of a variety of different materials and rubber compounds, this will change depending on the tyre design and construction.

The fewer plies the tyre has, the more flexible and smoother the tyre is. Hence why commercial grade tyres come with a higher ply rating, because they're designed to be more rigid and hold heavier weights.
