Tyres fitted at home in Thetford

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre fitting service that comes to you, is back in full force. We are, of course, taking precautions to protect ourselves and you from Covid 19. We are easily able to apply social distancing to what we do and provide a contactless mobile tyre fitting experience.

Since we've been back, we have been busy in and around Thetford. On Cloverfields Estate, we fitted a 225/45R17 budget tyre on an Audi A3, removing a Hankook tyre. This vehicle also required a bead seal, this is when corrosion builds up around the rim over time and causes an issue with how the tyre seals to the wheel. A simple fix at a small cost!

We also went out to a repeat customer in Highlands, Thetford. We removed two Continental tyres and we fitted two Michelin tyres 195/55R15 to a Ford Fiesta. We also carried out a FREE tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS) check, which showed that all the sensors were working correctly. We were also booked to remove a Kumho tyre and replace it with a Yokohama tyre (205/55R16) on a Honda Civic, as the customer picked up a puncture and was unaware until it was too late. This was because the tyre had been driven on whilst punctured by a nail, causing too much internal damage to the tyre for it to be repaired.

For a local plastering company 'Low Lime Plastering' on Woodlands estate, we fitted four budget 195/50R16 tyres to a Volkswagen Caddy van, to prepare for his return to work after the lifting of lockdown measures. Another repeat customer had a worn tyre on a Toyota Avensis on Ladies estate, Thetford. We removed a budget Landsail Tyre and replaced it with a 195/65R15 mid range Nexen tyre.

One of our final jobs of the day was to fit four brand new tyres to a Vauxhall Corsa, four old Firestone tyres came off and were replaced with mid range Nexen tyres. All four wheels were corroded and had to be bead sealed. There was also uneven wear on the tyres. After further checks, we found that the wheel alignment was out. We carried out a Mobile Wheel Alignment at the customer's home for them.

All jobs were completed at the customer's homes with social distancing measures applied and some happy contact free customers!
