Repeat Runflat Tyre Replacement in Thetford

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre service that comes to you, were called to a repeat customer in Thetford. The vehicle was a BMW 6 series.

We were asked to replace a Pirelli runflat tyre (245/40/20 99Y) with a new Pirelli tyre. The outer edge had started to go bald and we had replaced the opposite tyre in that axle no more than a month ago. It is always best to fit run flat tyres in a pair or close together, this is due to them being very heavy due to their reinforced sides, and if the tread is less than 3mm difference across the axle, it could cause issues on the drive train.

The valves were tyre pressure monitoring valves (TPMS) so we checked to make sure they were all working and the battery life was okay.

We adjusted all the air pressure and gave the wheels a cheeky lil clean.
