New tyres fitted to a twin axle caravan!

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre fitting service that comes to you, went out to twin axle Hobby caravan. We went to Applewood countryside holiday park in Banham, next to Banham zoo. The holiday park is also a caravan storage place.

We removed four 15 year old GT Radial tyres, which is over the 5 year age limit on caravan tyres. The customer wanted to change their caravan storage location but were unable to remove the caravan because the tyres were so old, his insurance wouldn’t cover the caravan in the case of an accident.

 We replaced the tyres with four new budget 175/70/R13 A Plus tyres. We also removed all the old valves and fitted all new ones, as they would have been as old as the tyres. We also carried out wheel balancing on site.  

When we removed the wheels, they did not have any balancing weights on them. It is always best to balance the wheels as this can cause problems to the axle and ball bearings if not correctly balanced. 

The customer was very happy, he had four new tyres and could move the caravan safely to a new storage site.
