Mobile tyre fitting in Norwich.

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre fitting service that comes to you, went out to a job at a customer’s home in Norwich. We removed three mid range Toyo tyres and replaced them with three budget Excelon tyres 225/55/R18. The vehicle was a Mitsubishi Outlander. 

The driver’s side front had a large bulge in the tyre, due to impact. This could have been caused by a pothole or by hitting the curb. The bulge is a build up of pressure in one spot. This makes it dangerous, as it can pop at any time. This would also fail an MOT and we would recommend to get the tyre changed ASAP. The passenger side front tyre had been changed fairly recently, as the customer had had a puncture, so this tyre was in good condition.

The rear two tyres were five years old and heavily perished. The customer was about to drive on a long journey and wanted his vehicle sorted before doing so.

We managed to get hold of the tyres and fit them the same day. On site we also carried a free tyre safety check and tyre pressure monitoring system check (TPMS) making sure the customer would be safe for his journey and furthermore.
