Leaky Mini Cooper in Great Melton

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile tyre service that comes to you were called to Great Melton, near Wymondham.
The vehicle was a Mini Cooper and job was for a puncture repair or a replacement tyre. The tyre in question was a Nankang with a budget Accelera tyre (205/40/18 86Y) if needed.

In this case the tyre had to replaced because the tyre in question was leaking from the seal - a leaky rim. The leak was a due to a build up of corrosion inside the rim, which for a small fee is easily fixed with a bead seal. This is where we remove all of the corrosion and install a chemical bead sealer around the rim to bridge any gaps and imperfections and protecting the tyre from the rim. This process would usually last until the tyre is ext replaced.

We also recommended to the customer that the tyre on the opposite side of the axle was the same age and make, it was also coming to the end of its life and also slowly leaking air. We fitted the new budget tyre, adjusted all air pressures and of course gave the wheels a cheeky lil wheel clean.
