Air Base Jag Puncture

Hometyre Norfolk, the mobile service that comes to you, were called to a puncture repair at RAF Honington. This is the air base between Thetford and Bury St Edmunds. The vehicle, was a Jaguar XF with tyre size 285/30/20. Hometyre always brings a tyre when examining a puncture repair, in case the puncture is not repairable, a new tyre can be easily fitted.

 This was the case this time, as the tyre only had 2.5mm of tread, so therefore it would be pointless to fix, as the tyre wouldn't last too much longer in any case, the legal limit is 1.6mm tread depth. 

So, Hometyre fitted a budget tyre at the customer’s request, an ACCELERA tyre. We also changed the valve, as it was perishing and could have caused a slow leak in the future.
