When we speak with customers regarding certain brands of vehicle, the two most common being BMW and Mini, we sometimes have to ask whether the car is on run-flat tyres. You would be surprised how often people come back to us with the question "what are run-flat tyres?", most of the time this means their vehicle is not running on them but sometimes it is and they don't even realise!

Run Flat Tyres

Run Flat Tyres can only be fitted to specific wheels which are suitable for them, mostly found on BMWs. The tyres are designed to support the weight of the vehicle in the event of a puncture or when deflated which will allow the driver to get to a safe place providing they drive at a limited speed and for a limited amount of miles.

One downside to run flat tyres is that we are unable to repair punctures so they can get quite costly if you have bad enough luck to pick up a lot of punctures!
