Many of us don't realise how seemingly minor aspects of tyre maintenance could cause serious damage to tyres, making them potentially unsafe to drive on. For example, if the pressure in your tyres is too low because they are underinflated, you could suffer a staggering 37% increase in tyre wear and over a 6% increase in fuel consumption. However, by calling Hometyre Hatfield or making an appointment online, you can have Hometyre Hatfield service your Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) by either servicing the valve stem or replacing the whole TPMS valve if the battery or sensor has failed - this and all of our services are done at the time and place that suit you best! Even new tyres are not perfect and it is likely that we will need to add some balancing weights in order to ensure you get a vibration free ride. All the Hometyre mobile servicing van are fitted with electronic wheel balancers so that we can check your wheel balancing and make any corrections necessary by adding weights to the inside of the wheel. With many car no longer coming with a spare tyre having a puncture can really cause you a head ache. When you call Hometyre we come to your preferred location and repair it for you. We will also bring new tyres so that if the puncture is irreparable then we can replace the tyre for you. A full explanation of why a new tyre is needed will be given before the tyre is fitted. If your wheel has been cracked by hitting a pot hole we also offer a welding service (offsite) to have them repaired.
