If you have just bought a second hand vehicle then you need to check your tyres for signs of cracking / perishing before you start your travels. Not just on the sidewalls, have a look in-between the tread blocks.
The tyres on leisure vehicles should be changed every 5 to 7 years, as they start to perish from standing around for long periods of time. We at Hometyre specialise in these vehicles and will come to you wherever you keep your vehicle, (Home, storage area, camp site).
Should you also have Tyron safety bands or would like a set, then we have been trained by Tyron UK, and are one of their preferred suppliers and fitters. I personally have seen many Tyron bands with parts missing, fitted upside down, or they have fitted the band crushing the valve. Call Hometyre we are professionals and know what we are doing.
Many of our customers, in Four Marks and surrounding areas, have a set of specialised winter tyres for use in the winter months and a set of "standard" tyres for the remainder of the year. The softer rubber on winter tyres helps them grip icy roads, plus the tread is designed to retain compacted snow within the grooves so that when driving over snow the snow in the tyre groove "sticks" to the snow on the road helping you gain traction.
Our customers call us in to swap their tyres over at the appropriate time of year, this saves them the hassle of putting a set of tyres in the boot of the car and driving to a fitting centre for the swap to be completed.

We will also check the tread depths of the tyres we are taking off, so you know when you will need replacements for the season ahead!
If you are unlucky enough to get a puncture don't assume that you will need a new tyre. We can try to repair penetration punctures of up to 6mm, providing they are in the central 65%-70% of the tread area. Of course the tyre will need to be worth repairing, for example it must have sufficient tread depth to make it worthwhile and not otherwise damaged.
Give Hometyre a call today and we will come out to see if we are able to legally repair your puncture, if we cannot repair it we always carry a potential replacement on board just in case! This was if the puncture is not repairable, you're not left without a fix! Remember not to drive on a deflated tyre as that will most likely render it irreparable.
Whenever we carry out a puncture repair, the repair will meet the requirements of British Standard BS AU159 so that the tyre can still be used in line with its original design specification.
