TPMS Light Reset on a Skoda Octavia | Tyre Pressure Light Skoda
Most Skoda Octavia's between 2013 and 2020 will be fitted with INDIRECT TPMS, this means the vehicle uses the ABS to determine when there is an issue with a tyre. Indirect TPMS will not alert the car's on board computer of a problem with a specific tyre but will instead let it know there is a problem in general.
If you have a TPMS light on, it's unlikely to be on for no reason! The simplest answer is that your tyre pressure has simply gone down over time and they just need a little top up!
To find out the correct psi for your vehicle, just take a look inside the fuel cap or the inside of the door.
Once you have your correct pressures and you've set your tyres to these – simply follow the below steps to reset your TPMS light.
Turn the ignition to the ON position (making sure the engine is off)
Press the TPMS reset button found in the glove box or centre console, until you hear an audible "chime".
Then, all you need to do is drive the vehicle and it will complete the relearn – easy as that!
If this doesn't keep your TPMS light off, you may have a deeper routed issue! If you've got a slow puncture or a problem with your tyre, give us a call!
