Budget Tyre Fitting in East Grinstead

We recently had a customer phone in after hitting the curb in their Volkswagen Golf. Being stuck at the side of the road is never a good thing so we quickly ordered a budget tyre as requested and got them booked in the same day!

Although cheaper than the premium brands, some budget tyres are just derivatives/offshoots of premium brands. For example, Riken is an offshoot of Michelin! On this occasion, the customer opted to go for the Autogrip P308 as they had them in the past and wanted to go for them again. With the Autogrip on the van, we headed out to the customer's house in the afternoon.

Along the way we hit a small bit of traffic so gave the customer a quick bell keeping them updated where we were and a rough estimation as to when we would arrive.

Upon arrival, we inspected all four tyres and took note of their wear patterns. As this customer had recently replaced all four of their tyres, the only one that needed changing was the front near side that had hit the curb. After the inspection, we jacked the vehicle up and removed the wheel and tyre. With the wheel on the turntable in the van, we proceeded to remove the tyre and install the new 195/65 R15 Autogrip. However, before the installation of the new tyre, we inspected the alloy just to make sure everything was OK. Despite hitting the curb, everything was perfectly circular! We then installed the new tyre, inflated, balanced and installed back onto the vehicle. After tightening the nuts to the required specification, we did a post inspection and handed the keys back to the customer.
