We went out to a repeat customer in Horsham who needed two Bridgestone S001 AO Fitment 255/35R20 tyres for his Audi A6 Estate. Due to this vehicle being a mile crunching machine it's critical the tyres fitted to these types of vehicles are in the best condition for the mileage they regularly pick up. Being an AO fitment these Bridgestone's not only help secure the vehicles warranty but also have a specific compound and tread pattern which has been designed to complement the vehicles aim to achieve high levels of fuel efficiency and wet weather grip.

We arrived promptly on time to the address and collected the vehicle keys from the customer and began with checking the Alignment, as clear signs of uneven wear on both front tyres were evident. During the inspection we noticed both front tyres had heavy inner tyre wear known as 'Toe Wear' further highlighting that the alignment was is need of sorting to reduce further uneven wear on future tyres fitted.

Once the Alignment check had highlighted clear adjustments, we then checked the rear tyre pressures to ensure both were suitably topped up to the correct PSI. Under or over inflated tyres can greatly impact the tread life and have negative effects on areas such as fuel efficiency and the feeling through the steering while driving. It's part of our everyday procedure to ensure any customer vehicle we come out to will have all 4 pressures checked to ensure even tread wear throughout and reduce the likelihood of heavy inner and outer wear down the line.

We then removed the alloys and fitted new Bridgestone Tyres ensuring each one was balanced up to prevent any vibrations coming through the steering. Once both tyres had been replaced and fitted back on vehicle, we decided to have a chat with the customer and recommended that the alignment needed to be adjusted to prevent the vehicle unevenly wearing through another set just as quick.

Due to the poor road conditions and potholes that would scare any vehicle off, the customer instantly knew what was to be blame and was incredibly grateful we had picked the issue up and could sort it while there.
