An Un-Repairable Puncture for a Jaguar F-Pace in Leatherhead

One of our proudest aspects of our business is the ability to select time specific appointments. This customer did just that selecting a morning appointment before they went off to work. Unfortunately, their F-Pace had suffered a puncture on it's way back home and had to be left over night. With the customer booked in, we loaded a possible replacement tyre on board the van and headed out first thing in the morning.

Arriving on site, we noticed that front off-side tyre was completely flat which indicated that it wasn't a slow puncture but something a bit more serious. Before removing the offending wheel, we inspected all the tyres to see if there were any other offenses. Thankfully, they were wearing evenly and there were no unusual factors at play.

We removed the wheel with the tyre and installed it onto our bench. We then carefully removed the massive tyre and inspected the inside to see the protrusion. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the nail had entered the tyre at such a severe angle that the plug we use to seal the hole wouldn't seat properly meaning that the hole would still be able to let air through.

With the knowledge that it wouldn't be repairable, we installed the new 265/40 R22 Jaguar Fitment Pirelli PZero tyre, balanced the assembly and placed it back on the vehicle!

Within the hour, the customer was back on the road and ready to head to work.
