An Evolution in Tyre Fitting for Chris in Blackburn

Much like cars or tyres, are vans can run for years without issues but sometimes they need to be refreshed and renewed. Chris, our technician in the Blackburn area, gave the office a quick call and decided it was about time he renewed his equipment and got a shiney new van!

Before we progressed, we had a video conference with Chris to find the correct van that suited his needs, his preferred colour scheme and any additional equipment to suit the area. His vehicle of choice was the Citroen Relay L3H2 in Nimbus Grey with matte black Hometyre branding as seen below.

After helping thousands of customers over the course of seven years, the "old lady" as Chris Referred to her was brought to the main workshop in Shropshire and set aside for retirement. David, our workshop manager, then began the long and precise process of transforming the new van into a high-tech mobile tyre fitting machine.

Upon taking delivery of the fresh van, David set to work installing a new floor and partition wall whilst the graphics team set about installing the new vinyl logos. Then, the 12V tyre installation machine was fitted, an array of TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) components sourced and stored on the racks and finally the compressor installed. To finish the van off, David installed an enhanced surround view lighting feature which ensures the technician can work in the darkest environments!

After testing out in the field, the van was signed off and put into commission ready to help existing and new customers looking for new tyres or puncture repairs!
