New Nexens for a Renault Captur Along with a Wheel Alignment

Sometimes customers choose to purchase their tyres elsewhere and that’s perfectly fine. But, this customer had recently gone elsewhere to have two new front tyres fitted. What they failed to tell her was that the wheel alignment was completely out and needed to be adjusted. This meant that the customer had prematurely worn out their tyres.

After making a booking with us on the phone, we then arrived at the customer’s vehicle. With six years experience we noticed the problem straight away. With the car on a flat surface, the old worn tyres were taken off the vehicle and the new Nexen’s were swapped on. Setting the car back down we then proceeded to track the vehicle. In terms of timing, tracking a vehicle can vary massively! A modern MINI or BMW for example could take a couple of hours compared to a Renault Captur or an Alfa Romeo Giulietta which could take a few minutes. On the other hand, cars such as the old Audi A4’s and older VW Passat are almost impossible to track due to the height and complexity of the steering rack.

With the new tyres on and the complete set tracked, the customer had a quick test drive and said it was “completely different, in a good way!”.
