Hankook iON Electric Tyres Entering the UK | Hometyre Electric Vehicle Tyre Replacement

As zero-emission vehicles continue to rise in popularity, the Korean manufacturer Hankook have been quietly developing their new line of electric vehicle specific tyres; iON.

Originally launching on South Korean domestic market vehicles, the iON tyre will be available in three patterns: Ion S for the summer, i*cept iON for the winter and the iON A for all seasons.

We're already seeing Hankook supply tyres for a numerous number of premium car brands including, but not limited to, Audi, BMW, Porsche, VW and Tesla. As seen below, the Volkswagen ID.4 is already equipped with their Ventus S1 EVO3 EV.

The battery-powered vehicle sales are predicted to increase by 36.6 percent annually, so the game is on to develop the worlds leading EV specific tyre than combine both excellent grip and low rolling resistance for increased range.
