Tyres fitted at a time and place that suits you
I've had two jobs this week where the time and place booked was very specific:
First,I had to be at the home address of a customer in Fenham, newcastle for 5.30pm as he was only going to be there for 30 minutes. On site 5.15 and the car tyre was changed by 5.45, customer was away early for a drive down south.
Then had a job booked in at Tyne Dock in South Shields for 3.30pm. Customer was just popping into their office to drop off paperwork before heading out on calls again. I had the tyre changed in15 minutes and the car was ready to drive away as she came out of her office.
So if your tie is valuable, or you just don't have enough why not try the mobile tyre fitting service from Hometyre, saving you time and money on your next set of car Tyres.

Hometyre had a great day at The Two Counties Motor Show yesterday where we met and spoke to lots of people about a variety of subjects such as fitting Runflats, performing wheel alignments, supplying new tyres at competitive prices and also fitting Tyron bands to caravans and campervans. The glorious weather boosted the crowds and all were very impressed with our Mobile unit and the equipment it carries.
Hometyre advice on tread wear
We have changed a couple of tyres this week that were getting quite low on the tread depth one on a BMW and the other on a Audi and both tyres were wearing down on the inner shoulder to the extent that wire was visible so we are advising all customers to check the inner shoulder of their tyre in particular as the tyre ages.

Locking Wheel Nut Removal
Before leaving for your holiday check that you have your locking wheel nut adaptor in your vehicle as some of my recent customers have either lost them or left them in the house. The wheel cannot be removed without it so if it is lost give us a call and we will use our equipment to remove bolts so you can replace them.

Top Tips for Winter Driving
Winter it seems is not yet over if you believe the recent weather forecasts so this is good time to remind you all to do a few simple checks to avoid any nasty surprises and which can also save you fuel consumption, so a double whammy !. Three simple checks I recommend to all my customers are : 1)Have a useable spare tyre 2)Keep tyres correctly inflated ( helps with fuel consumption) 3)Avoid Pot holes!- If you are unfortunate to hit a pot hole please check your wheel rims for any damage, as I have been called out recently to what seems to be a puncture when it is in fact a damaged wheel rim causing the tyres to become ill fitting and as such leak air.
Hopefully the Winter blast will be short lived but in the mean time be safe.
Helping the Barmy Army
A regular customer of mine is in Sydney at the moment hopefully witnessing an historic ashes series win but his parents had noticed a nail in his tyre.I have ordered new tyre and i am fitting tomorrow as he is flying back sunday evening and starting work on monday morning. A job well done i say (that's me and England!)
A very Happy Customer
Last week i had a call from a lady who had hit a kerb in Bar Hill and had to leave the car overnight as the tyre had been pushed off the rim.I phoned her to arrange a time to meet at the location and she informed me that she was waiting at the local bus stop probably waiting for a bus that was not going to arrive due to the bad weather. As i was very near to her i told her to hold on for a few minutes more and i would collect her on route and her exact words were 'What a wonderful service'
