The Hometyre Wirral mobile tyre fitting service was fitting 2 new Falken tyres to the rear of a Mercedes E350 coupe in Gayton, Wirral this morning. Fortunately for the client is was just in time as the inside side wall of one of the rear tyres was about to give way due to it being run on low pressure for an extended period of time. My advice is check you pressures regularly and if a tyre has lost a significant amount of pressure it's usually due to a puncture, leaking valve or poor seal. If caught in time then having the tyre repaired can sometimes save you a significant amount of money.

I was at Cheshire Oaks Nr Chester today wearing down the Michelin tyres on my pushbike in support of the Northern Lights Charity. They are aiming to cycle from Neston, Wirral to Kittila, Lapland, a distance of 2235 miles. The cycling will be done on turbo trainers and started on Friday and the distance will hopefully be achieved by Sunday afternoon. I cycled 20miles and my son cycled 5miles. I was also sporting a rather dodgy moustache for Movember.

The original tyres had worn through to the threads on the inside, when i did a laser wheel alignment check is was toeing out by 7mm. I spoke to the client and he explained that the car had recently had a number of suspension components replaced. This isn't the first time I've attended a car which has had major suspension worked carried out and they haven't bothered to re-align the wheels.

Hometyre Wirral mobile tyre fitting service helped a damsel in distress in Liverpool. Her Peugeot 207 had a flat tyre at the roadside. The tyre was inflated to check the cause which turned out to be a leaking valve. Worse than that, the tyre was a part worn that had only recently been fitted, even worse, it was a part worn remould for which they charged £20. Whoever fitted the tyre, which was probably one of the worst I have ever seen, hadn't fitted a new valve, which had subsequently perished, hence, why it was leaking. So for £20 she got a part worn remould, without a new valve and unbalanced. They had potentially turned her car into a death trap. Absolutely scandalous.Needless to say Hometyre do not fit part worn tyres.
