Trailer tyres fitted in Burwell and Eversden and Yokohama tyres fitted in Newmarket.

The week began by visiting a local business in Oakington who regularly use us to replace tyres on all their vans so there is no lost time driving into town. We arrived at the agreed time and fitted two new Pirelli tyres size 175/70/R14 to a Nissan NV200 trade van. We then were called to Eversden to fit new trailer tyres to a horse box and then it was off to Burwell to replace two tyres on a trailer for a landscape gardener. We also had a call from a customer living in Newmarket who required a comp;ete set of tyres for a Renault Clio. We arrived at the agreed time and fitted four new Yokohama tyres size 185/60/R15 to the vehicle and now our customer is ready for any bad weather that heads our way.

Pirelli tyres fitted to a BMW and a trade van and Continental tyres fitted to a Renault Modus

We had a call from the owner of a local public house who had damaged a tyre on his BMW 3 series so we arrived before the pub opened and fitted a new Pirelli P7 tyre size 225/45/R17 to the vehicle. We then headed to a University College to perform a wheel alignment on a VW Passatt and as we were checking the tyre pressures on the vehicle we discovered a nail embedded in a rear tyre so we collected a replacement tyre from a nearby tyre supplier much to the relief of our customer. This morning we have fitted two new Pirelli Carrier tyres size 175/70/R14 to a Nissan NV200 trade van while the driver was attending a meeting so there was no lost time. Whilst we were fitting the tyres we had a call from a new customer who requires two new Continental tyres size 185/55/R16 fitting to a Renault Modus and we are visiting our customer at his home this afternoon.

New tyres fitted to a Jaguar XF near Newmarket and a wheel alignment on a Ford Fiesta.

We had a busy weekend and also a busy start to this week helping motorists get back on the road. We had a call from a new customer early Saturday morning who was visiting the Cambridge area who had clipped a kerb when leaving his hotel and had split a tyre so we collected a replacement tyre from our local supplier and our customer was heading home very shortly after his call to us. While we were collecting the tyre we had a call from another new customer who had woken up to find a flat tyre on his Honda Civic so we arrived with a new Triangle tyre size 185/55/R15 and again this customer was mobile again very shortly after his call to us. Next it was back to Longstanton to perform a wheel alignment on a Ford Fiesta. This week has started in similar fashion as a new customer living in Earith had damaged a tyre on a Vauxhall Astra so we arrived at 8.30am and fitted a new tyre size 225/45/R18 to the vehicle. Then it was off to Newmarket to fit two new tyres size 245/40/R19 to a Jaguar XF.

Bridgestone tyres fitted to a Mazda,Maxxis tyres to a VW Passatt and a Continental runflat tyre to a BMW.

We had a call from a regular customer late in the afternoon who required two new tyres urgently so we ordered tyres and arrived the next day at a convenient time for the customer and fitted two new Bridgestone tyres to a Mazda 6. We had a call from a new customer who required two new front tyres to a VW Passatt and on removal of the old tyres we found severe inside wear of the tyres so a wheel alignment was required and two new Maxxis tyres size 235/45/R17 were fitted. We then headed to Sawston to fit a Continental runflat tyre size 205/55/R16 to a BMW 3 series.

New Pirelli tyres fitted to a Skoda Octavia in Cambridge at the weekend.

We had a call from a customer during Friday afternoon to ask if we could fit two new Pirelli tyres to a Skoda Octavia early on Saturday morning. We took the call while we were fitting new tyres in Cottenham so it was very convenient as we collected the Pirelli tyres from our local supplier based in Cottenham. We arrived at 9am on Saturday morning and fitted two new Pirelli tyres size 225/45/R17 to the vehicle while our customers were having breakfast with their young family. During our visit they also had a supermarket home delivery so again they could spend more time with the children. We said a quick hello to the delivery driver who is also one of our regular customers,

New tyres for Caravans in Willingham and Histon and Bridgestone tyres on a RAV 4 in Cottenham.

We were called by an owner of a caravan in Willingham and also an owner who lives in Histon as both required their old tyres removing and new tyres fitted. Both owners called us as the wheels were fitted with Tyron bands and they had been advised to call Hometyre as we carry specialised equipment so we are able to remove and refit the bands as the new tyres are fitted. We then had a call from a new customer living in Willingham who required a new tyre fitting on a Mercedes A Class so we collected a tyre from a local tyre supplier and our customer is back on the road. We are now waiting for our afternoon delivery then it is off to Cottenham to fit a couple of new Bridgestone tyres to a Rav 4.

A busy start to September fitting Pirelli tyres to a Mercedes and Kumho runflat tyres to a Mini Cooper.

We had an early start to the week as most of our customers have returned from holiday and are considering the condition of their tyres as the summer draws to an end. The first job of the week was to fit two Matador tyres to a trade van while the owner was attending a breakfast business meeting in Cambridge,We then headed to Histon to fit a full set of Pirelli Scorpion tyres size 265/45/R20 to a Mercedes M Class. Next it was off to Ely to fit two new Kumho runflat tyres size 195/55/R16 to a Mini Cooper,The day ended with a couple of rescue missions where customers had got punctures over the bank holiday weekend.

Tyron bands fitted to a Motorhome in Ely then Pirelli and Michelin tyres fitted near Cambridge.

We visited a new customer who lives near Ely who had decided to have a set of Tyron bands fitted to a motorhome as they were planning to drive to Greece for a summer vacation. They had heard and read many positive reviews on the benefits of having Tyron bands fitted,so we arrived at the agreed time and fitted the four Tyron bands to the vehicle and explained to our customer how the Tyron bands would work in the event of a blow out. We then headed to Cottenham to fit two new Pirelli tyres size 175/65/R15 to a Mini one. Next it was a visit to Cambridge to fit a new Michelin Energy Saver tyre size 205/55/R16 to a Nissan Leaf and to repair a puncture on a Isuzu Trooper.

A full set of Bridgestone and Pirelli tyres fitted this afternoon while both customers continued working.

We were called by a customer who works at the Irwin Business Centre in Dry Drayton to fit a complete set of Pirelli P Zero tyres size 195/45/R16 to a Ford Ka as the tread on the front tyres was getting low and the rear tyres were cracking due to age. We then headed to the Westbrook Centre in Cambridge to fit a full set of Bridgestone tyres size 225/45/R17 to a Vauxhall Astra as again the existing tyres were showing signs of age. Both customers were highly delighted as they did not have to leave the office saving them valuable time and money.

Hankook tyres fitted to a Range Rover and a Volvo V40 and Bridgestone tyres fitted to a Ford Mondeo

We had a very busy end to the week helping our customers to get back on the road as quickly as possible. We had a call from a new customer who lived in Cambridge as he had damaged a tyre on a Range Rover and to his delight we were able to source a replacement tyre from a local supplier. We arrived at his home and fitted a new Hankook tyre size 285/35/R22 to his vehicle within an hour of his call to us. We also fitted a new Hankook tyre size 205/50/R17 to a Volvo V40 as the owner noticed a screw embedded on the shoulder of a rear tyre. At the start of the week we were called to a local business based in Swavesey to fit two new Bridgestone tyres size 225/40/R18 to a Ford Mondeo but on removal of the near side wheel we noticed severe damage to the wheel so we returned on Friday as the new wheel had arrived.

A caravan tyre fitted in Longstanton,a Bridgestone tyre fitted near Ely and a puncture repair in Cambridge.

The first job of the day was to replace a caravan tyre in Longstanton as a wheel had hit a kerb causing a gash in the tyre when leaving a camp site at the weekend. After replacing the damaged tyre we checked the remaining tyres for age and general condition and found them to be in good order. We then visited a customer living near Ely who had noticed a piece of thin wire embedded on a shoulder of a rear tyre on a Citroen DS3 and the tyre was half deflated. We were amazed to find a large nail embedded in the inside shoulder of the same tyre and a new Bridgestone tyre was fitted. We then headed to Castle Park next to the Shire Hall in Cambridge as a customer had noticed that a rear tyre on a Honda Civic had also lost air pressure. Fortunately we found a screw embedded in the centre of the tyre and a puncture repair was performed much to the relief of our customer.

New tyres fitted in Newmarket and a visit to look at an Audi in Cambourne.

The first job of the week was to visit a local business in Newmarket to replace a couple of worn tyres on a company vehicle as the owner of the business cannot afford any lost time with vehicles or staff leaving the premises to have new tyres fitted. We then visited another customer who lives in Newmarket who had o blow out on a Renault Clio over the weekend. The vehicle is seven years old but during our vehicle inspection we found a rear tyre to be over eleven years old so we can only assume that the previous owner decided to fit a part worn tyre at some time. If you are purchasing a used vehicle it is always advisable to check the age and general condition of all the tyres on the vehicle.

Goodyear Eagle tyre fitted to a BMW 5 series in Cottenham and Dunlop tyres fitted to a Citroen C4 in Cambridge.

We had a call from a customer who works in Cottenham as a front tyre on his BMW 5 series was losing air pressure and as the tyres on the vehicle are runflats he was aware that they cannot repaired so a replacement tyre was ordered. We arrived at his office at the agreed time and fitted a Goodyear Eagle size 245/40/R20 and before leaving we checked the pressures of the other tyres. We then headed to Cambridge to fit two new front tyres to a Citroen C4.Our customer had ordered Dunlop tyres size 205/55/R16 as a replacement for the worn front tyres. Before working on the vehicle we checked the condition of the rear tyres and found them to be four years old with 4mm tread depth. We advised our customer that it would be sensible to move the existing rear tyres to the front and fit the new Dunlop tyres to the rear axle to reduce the chances of having a blow out. Our customer agreed that this was a sensible option and thanked us for our attention to detail.

Michelin Super Sport tyres fitted to a BMW in Cambourne and then a visit to Papworth Everard.

This morning we visited a regular customer who works on the business park in Cambourne. Our customer has recently changed vehicles and he asked us to fit two new Michelin Super Sport tyres size 265/35/R19 to the rear axle of his BMW M3 vehicle. We arrived at the agreed time, collected the keys at reception so our customer could continue working saving him valuable time and money. We then visited a new customer in Papworth Everard who had spotted a screw embedded in the centre of a rear tyre on a BMW 3 series and when we arrived the tyre was completely flat. The tyre was not a runflat tyre so we explained to our customer that the tyre could probably be repaired if there were no signs of damage on removal of the tyre. Unfortunately when removing the tyre we discovered that the tyre had a previous puncture repair and there was also signs of damage on the inside so a new tyre was fitted.

Our customer decided to call us back today to replace the tyre as he is taking a summer break next week all the tyres on the vehicle need to be in good order. We then visited a new customer who works in the centre of Cambridge as a runflat tyre on a Mini Cooper had lost air pressure. The first job of the day was to visit a new customer who works in Willingham and she called us as she did not have the time to drive to Cambridge to have two new tyres fitted to her Peugeot 207. We arrived at 9am as agreed with two new Continental tyres size 195/55/R16 to replace the existing front tyres. Before we commenced working on the vehicle we checked the condition of the rear tyres and found one tyre to be relatively new but the other tyre to be four years old. We explained to our customer that the majority of punctures occur on the rear tyres as the front tyres push debris from the road in the direction of the rear tyres so by fitting new tyres to the rear axle you minimize the chances of nails and screws being embedded in a tyre.In the process of moving the rear tyres we noticed a rusty nail in the centre of the older tyre and therefore we were able to perform a puncture repair much to the relief of our customer.

Uniroyal tyres fitted to an Audi A4 and Firestone tyres fitted to a Peugeot 106.

We arrived at the agreed time, collected his keys and fitted two new Continental Sport Contact tyres size 235/40/R18 to his Ford C Max and completed a vehicle inspection report. Our customer was very happy as he like the painter and decorator earlier had lost no time during his busy schedule.

Tyron bands fitted to a single axle caravan and new Maxxis tyres fitted to a twin axle caravan.

On Saturday we visited a caravan owner near Ely who was preparing for a trip this week to France and he had heard many glowing reports on the benefits of having Tyron bands fitted to the wheels in the event of a blow out during his journey. We arrived at his home at the agreed time and within the hour the Tyron bands had been fitted. This week started with a visit to a new customer who works at Capital Park near Fulbourn where we fitted two new Michelin Energy Saver tyres size 205/55/R16 to a Toyota Avensis. Next it was off to Newmarket to fit a BF Goodrich tyre to a Land Rover Defender.
