Customers eager to boost their safety on the road might be interested by news that TyreSafe has been handed a recent accolade.
The organisation became the recipient of the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, which could intrigue drivers looking to take extra motor precautions this winter.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of the enterprise, expressed his pleasure at news of the prize.
He stated that TyreSafe will continue to promote safety "to a wider audience in an increasingly engaging manner and we hope these efforts will result in an even greater reduction of tyre-related accidents".
The company - which is in its third year – has reportedly helped cut road deaths from tyre-related incidents since its launch.
Specifically, the Department for Transport claimed that such fatalities decreased from 44 in 2006 to 34 in 2008.
Recently, the government body announced an online game which could help tackle the number of children who fall victim to traffic accidents.
Called The Code of Everand - the tool will see users plan their road crossings in a virtual world.
