Tyres in Surrey are at a greater risk from potholes than anywhere else in the country.
Searching online for cheap tyres has probably become a hobby for Surrey residents as they attempt to deal with the area's reported 1,998 potholes.
The figures, from the Kia Motors UK pothole survey, reveal Surrey to be the worst affected area of the country, with a startling 1,106 more potholes than the next worst.
Sue Mulcaster, a spokesperson for Kia Motors UK, said that the problem of potholes was being noted by their network of dealers across the country.
She said: "Potholes are often unavoidable, but there are ways to avoid considerable repair costs. Slowing down as much as possible and taking your foot off the brake before impact can help reduce damage".
In January, road maintenance site, potholes.co.uk launched a competition to find the best pothole-related prose to highlight the bad state of the country's roads.
