Tyres in Buckinghamshire affected by potholes

Car tyres damage Buckinghamshire potholesTyres in Buckinghamshire appear to have suffered from the threat of potholes, after it emerged that the county council leader has picked up an unwelcome repair bill.

David Shakespeare drove into a pothole in Beaconsfield which burst a back and front tyre.

It will set him back about £2,100, which might be paid for under the county council's insurance policy.

He is quoted by This is Local London as saying: "There are thousands of potholes left by the snow and everybody in Buckinghamshire must have driven through a dozen at least."

Following a period of freezing weather across the county, it could be said that drivers should ensure they take every precaution to properly inflate their tyres.

In other news, motorists who are keen to maintain the best level of protection on the roads could participate in the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, which will aim to prepare drivers for wintry conditions.ADNFCR-2762-ID-19611798-ADNFCR
