Goodyear tyres 'offer cost savings'

Car tyres Goodyear savings cut costsGoodyear South Africa has revealed that it is committed to increasing safety and reducing emissions from its tyres, following news that road conditions in the country have deteriorated because 70 per cent of freight transport companies are using rolling tyres.

As a consequence, the company has pledged to help boost the road infrastructure by producing technology that could enhance drivers' safety and performance.

Specifically, Max technology is designed to benefit commercial vehicle tyres and limit their ecological impact.

Also, Duroseal innovations mean punctured truck tyres are able to fix themselves with a built-in sealant which prevents air from escaping.

Such a capability could result in accident reductions, while the tyres are able to remain in service for longer.

Goodyear's UK website has a number of tips for drivers who are keen to make the most of their tyres.

It suggests that when faced with wet conditions, motorists should keep their tyres properly inflated and make sure they are using the correct air pressure.ADNFCR-2762-ID-19614214-ADNFCR
