A new agreement will see all Ducati motorcycles fitted with the same brand of tyre, it has emerged.
From the start of next year, all of the firm's motorbikes will be supplied with tyres from fellow Italian company Pirelli.
Gabriele Del Torchio, president of Ducati Motor Holding, states: "A partnership such as this, the latest in a line of important collaborations with selected suppliers, allows us to contribute to the development of our bikes, in terms of both performance and safety."
He adds that the latest initiative comes on the back of years of the two firms working in partnership, which began when Pirelli began developing dedicated solutions for Ducati's range of vehicles.
Guglielmo Fiocchi, managing director of the Moto Business Unit of Pirelli Tyre, claims the partnership "adds value" to the leading role the firm already plays in the motorcycle industry.
Earlier this month, it was revealed Dunlop was to become the sole tyre supplier for next year's Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain.
