F1 Pirelli Grip Creates Gripes

New F1 tyre supplier Pirelli is finding it tough to create a balance of expectation between the drivers, the team principals and the general public. While many of the drivers have complained about the rapid wear rate of the new tyres, team technicians are more than happy with the increased early grip provided.

Drivers staring the 2011/2012 season have been forced to adjust to multiple new changes including the reintroduction of KERS and the new adjustable rear wing system.

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh recently commented that the drivers should accept that the characteristics of the new Pirelli tyres were designed to improve the drama of the event for the viewing public stating that it was all "part of the show".
