New design brings Kia Sportage's 16-inch tyres a little closer
Drivers of the Kia Sportage could find they ride a little closer to their vehicle's 16-inch tyres in the all-new incarnation of the model.Four of the five models in the Sportage range are equipped with 16-inch tyres, while the four-wheel-drive Titan has larger, 17-inch wheels.
All come equipped with alloys, according to the manufacturer, which could be just one of the aesthetically pleasing elements of the new design.
Kia explains that the Sportage has been redesigned to sit lower, with a longer profile.
Managing director Michael Cole adds: "Sportage was the car that really made the breakthrough for Kia in Europe and the all-new version will make people sit up and take notice just as the original did."
By spacing the Kia Sportage's tyres further apart in the new design, the manufacturer suggests that ride comfort is improved.
In addition, while the new line-up has a lower overall profile, the company adds that the range offers the additional ground clearance expected of a sports utility vehicle.
