Fans of Formula 1 racing could be interested by how the compound structure of tyres can affect a vehicle's performance.
Hirohide Hamashima, Bridgestone head of motorsport tyre development, noted that it will be important to take a considered approach to tyre durability this season.
He stated: "Tyre strategy will be very important in 2010 as there is no longer refuelling which was previously a big factor in determining when pit stops would occur."
Mr Hamashima also claimed that the team will introduce harder tyres to the Australia leg than previously, which will "enable quicker warm-up times".
The racing chief also revealed that changes have been made to dry compounds this season because the cars will be heavier, while there might be longer stint lengths.
Moreover, anyone on the lookout for cheap premium tyres could check out Bridgestone's Potenza range, which may enhance the driving experience of SUV owners.
It implements Formula 1 technology to provide a high standard of wet grip, response and control.
