Michelin 'the tyre of choice for Focsa'

Focsa Services has announced that Michelin will be the sole tyre supplier across its entire range of vehicles.

Under the agreement, the waste management firm will move away from using budget brands, instead opting for Michelin tyres for all its vans, road sweepers, 32-tonne refuse collection trucks and other vehicles, TyrePress reports.

Alan Sherlock, national fleet manager for Focsa, claims that the move offers the firm the reassurance that all its tyres will be "correctly fitted and maintained to the highest possible standard".

He adds that Michelin's web-based reporting system will help the organisation to identify tyre usage trends both by individual vehicle and specific region.

Michelin goes on to report that the move means that Focsa will have longer-lasting tyres and suffer fewer breakdowns related to tyres.

Last month, Michelin launched a new campaign indicating that choosing its range of tyres can help consumers to reduce fuel consumption and be safer on the road.
