Michelin is delighted to have been named as the most prominent online tyre brand once again, it has been stated.
The publication Tyre & Accessories gave the manufacturer the accolade for the fifth consecutive time.
Michelin was also recognised as the most positively-reinforced brand and came top in the sentiment index.
Head of communications at the company Peter Snelling commented on the honour.
"It's a confirmation of the positive perception Michelin has as a tyre brand and how it stands as a by-word for quality, reliability and performance," he stated.
"Being a market leader is what all brands aspire to be and we are very pleased to have retained that number one status."
Meanwhile, the company recently launched a new global campaign.
It intends to highlight the advantages of the manufacturer's products with the message: "The right tyre changes everything."
Starting in the US, the marketing drive will then be rolled out across 55 other countries, with plans to reach the UK in 2010.
