Michelin and ATS Euromaster win council contract

Those in charge of ATS Euromaster and Michelin may be pleased to have won a contract with Redditch Borough Council to provide tyres and services for its fleet of 150 vehicles.

Under the Office of Government Commerce's 2007 tyre sourcing scheme, the four-year arrangement will supply the local authority with a range of specialist commercial and agricultural tyres.

Responding to the contract award, Junior Braithwaite, fleet manager of Redditch Borough Council, suggested that the partnership is good news for local residents.

He said the deal "will ensure that all of our tyres are correctly specified and maintained to the highest standard".

Additionally, Mr Braithwaite asserted that ATS Euromaster and Michelin will "not only offer best value for the taxpayer, but also deliver a round-the-clock response service".

The comments follow news from the latter organisation that environmental waste experts Focsa Services UK has agreed to implement Michelin tyres for its mixed fleet of vehicles.
