2011 F1 tyre debate

Michelin's Nick Shorrock has issued notice to F1 teams to make a rapid decision as to the preferred tyre supplier for the 2011 season.

The pace of F1 is such that the development of next years cars has already begun. Tyre manufacturer choice often plays a key role in how a car is built. With Pirelli entering the frame for the next season, Michelin are keen to use their vast competition experience to get started on new developments.

Commenting on the apparent lack of urgency to choose manufacturers:

"Within the next couple of weeks if there's not enough information then it's going to make life extremely hard for all parties," he said.
