Dunlop is committed to enhancing road safety, it has been said.
Arthur de Bok, president of the company's Europe, Middle East and African region, made this comment after the tyre manufacturer joined the European Road Charter.
He noted that becoming part of the charter showed how dedicated the firm was in helping to make the continent's highways and byways a less dangerous place for all road users.
Although Dunlop is involved in a number of educational campaigns, Mr de Bok stated the best way they could contribute to safety is through the products it develops.
"That is why we focus on innovative technologies, such as RunOnFlat or the recently introduced SmartWear Technology," he asserted.
In conclusion, Mr de Bok said Dunlop is looking forward to working with the charter to help make Europe's roads a better place.
Dunlop's history dates back to 1888 and now produces tyres for an assortment of vehicles – from bicycles to racing cars.
