Dunlop tyre Birmingham charity UkDunlop tyres were recently put to unusual use in Birmingham, which played host to a motor show.

The brand was involved in the creation of an original piece of artwork that was then auctioned for £2,150 - a sum given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.

Rallybuzz reports that Autosport International, an event that took place a couple of weeks ago, commissioned artist Ian Cook to develop the piece. He used remote control cars and then dipped Dunlop tyres in paint to come up with a montage of nine vehicles that had won during the 2009 season.

Various drivers, such as Martin Brundle and Jenson Button, signed the artwork before it was auctioned.

"Make-A-Wish is an incredible charity and we're thrilled to have been able to raise this money," said Autosport International show director Ian France.

Dunlop tyres, of course, are crucial for many drivers who want to ensure quality. The brand recently came second for producing the least cabin noise in a test by motoring magazine Auto Express.ADNFCR-2762-ID-19596251-ADNFCR
