Anyone on the lookout for cheap premium tyres may take inspiration from the New Formula Renault 2.0 race car, which appears to boast a strong level of road grip.

Recently, Dave Moore of Fortec Motorsport summarised the capabilities of the model's tyres in terms of performing in all conditions.

He noted that the car was put through its paces by driver Oli Webb, which "went really well and we were able to get good runs on both wet and dry tyres".

Motor enthusiasts might want to head to Hampshire's Thruxton circuit on April 3rd and 4th, where the opening rounds of the 2010 Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship are set to take place.
