Bridgestone is to supply Citroen tyres for the DS3 and C3 compact 2010 models.
The company's 17 inch tyres have been chosen by Citroen for the DS3 three-door hatchback.
An asymmetric tread design helps to make the 17 inch tyres perform better in wet conditions, as well as meeting performance standards set by Citroen in the dry.
Meanwhile, 15-inch tyres from Bridgestone are fitted to the C3 five-door hatchback, which was originally unveiled in November.
The Turanza ER300, a touring tyre said to cope well in the wet while offering stability and driving comfort, is the line of 15-inch tyres selected for this model.
Didier Schneider, vice-president of original equipment at Bridgestone Europe, says: "Expanding our business with French car manufacturers and a top European player like Citroen strengthens our position as a global player."
The new Citroen tyres could make the C3 seem like a good model for anyone with the need to cover long distances.
Bridgestone explains that the tyre offers a smooth drive, helping to reduce the level of stress that builds up during a longer journey.
