Jenson Button's "superior tyre management" could be the key to his edge over new team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
This is according to former BAR-Honda compatriot Anthony Davidson, who was recently quoted in a Crash.net article about next season.
While the post-Christmas period might see the average consumer thinking about where to buy cheap tyres or home tyre fitting instructions, the Formula 1 champ needs to ensure he has the feel of his new motor under his belt in time for Bahrain on March 12th 2010, said Davidson.
Hamilton - " renowned for showing his own tyres little mercy" - will face serious competition from Button if he finds the car is his style.
"I think he's going to do an extremely good job and that's going to be paramount next year," Davidson added.
Fans will know that Button has transferred from brawn GP to McLaren. He recently told Formula 1 that it felt "fantastic" to be in the team and he is looking forward to the season.
