Drivers who purchase tyres online may want to ensure that their motor's wheels are properly aligned before hitting the road.
Those who do not heed such advice could inflict damage on their tyres, according to TyreSafe.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of the organisation, recently explained why many motorists may need to get their cheap tyres fitted properly.
He stated: "If a car's wheels are not correctly aligned it may pull to one side or cause vibrations in the steering wheel."
Such scenarios could prove to be distracting and make the vehicle difficult to drive when travelling over potholes, Mr Jackson added.
He went on to say that customers may want to visit a garage or tyre dealer where specialists will carry out "some simple checks to make sure the wheels are correctly aligned".
Goodyear's UltraGrip Performance 2 may prove to be a reliable tyre purchase, as the company claims it results in shorter breaking distances while on snow.
