Recording a verdict of accidental death, Alan Crickmore - Gloucestershire based coroner - commented that he did not believe the driver of a fatal collision would have died if the tyres fitted to her car had not been of the age they were found to be.

Nazma Shaheen's Toyota Lucida suffered a burst tyre while travelling northbound on the the M5. The vehicle veered onto the hard shoulder where it hit a kerb and rolled.
