Details of a new 4x4 tyre have been unveiled by Cooper.
The Cooper Zeon 4XS, which has been designed in Melksham, Wiltshire, has been specifically designed to meet the demands of driving on European roads and comes with a rim protector to safeguard alloys from being damaged when coming into contact with kerbs.
In addition, the Zeon 4XS features an asymmetrical tread design aimed at providing strong grip during wet conditions.
Julian Baldwin, managing director for Cooper in Europe, points out that the tyre can be used "for a wide range of very popular vehicles".
Indeed, the firm claims that the Zeon 4XS can be fitted on to cars including the Volvo XC90, Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7.
Meanwhile, Spanish motorsport driver Xavier Foj recently announced he is set to use Cooper's Discoverer STT tyres in the 2010 Dakar Rally.
